Here is everything you need to know before Day 1:
โฐ New Bell Schedule & Start Time
We have a brand new start time this year! Letโs set the tone for success by being on time and prepared:
7:55 AM: First bell rings ๐
8:00 AM: Tardy bell rings. Students must be in class and ready to learn. Please note: Tardy students must report directly to ISS.
3:25 PM: Dismissal after 7th period.

GHS is committed to a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Keep these updated guidelines in mind when picking out your school outfits:
Coverage: Clothing must cover the chest, stomach, and back areas (while standing, sitting, or moving).
Measurements: Tops must have a minimum shoulder width of 1 inch, and hemlines for skirts/shorts must be a maximum of 5 inches above the knee.
Hats & Hoodies: Hats are permitted in social and common areas (subject to classroom teacher rules), and hoodies are allowed but hoods must be taken off in classrooms.
Footwear: Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times.

This month, we are thrilled to award the Edu-Champion Belt to Mrs. Tricia Garcia for her outstanding work on the newest GCCS Food Services Request for Proposals (RFP). In a truly collaborative effort, Mrs. Garcia ensured that our students were included in the food selection process, giving them a meaningful voice in choosing what is served in our cafeterias. We thank her for her dedication to making this happen for all school sites and cafeterias across the district.

Memorial Day is a time to remember the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. We also honor the families who carry their legacy forward with strength and pride.
