The Student Nutrition Department supports the district mission ā€œEvery Student, Every Day Building a Person for Life.ā€ We do so by making sure that every student receives a healthy meal that meets or exceeds federal guidelines, according to the USDA. Our school nutrition personnel are professionals in their field of expertise.

We are extremely fortunate enough to have caring, concerned, kind-hearted people working in our kitchens. Each day we strive to obtain superlative service and excellent comestibles for our customers, which are our students.

As customers please feel free to contact us at our office regarding any questions or concerns you may have involving student nutrition. We look forward to providing your student with quality meals this school year.

All students attending a school within the Grants/Cibola County Schools will be able to obtain free breakfast and free lunch. Our district will again be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision, known as CEP.

The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a provision from the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 that allows schools and local educational agencies (LEAs) with high poverty rates to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students. CEP eliminates the burden of collecting household applications to determine eligibility for school meals, relying instead on information from other means-tested programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families.
