On January 22, 2026, Grants High School MESA students traveled to Santa Fe to participate in
MESA Day at the Roundhouse, where they toured the New Mexico State Capitol and engaged
with legislators. The experience highlighted the connection between STEM education and
civic leadership while giving students a firsthand look at state government in action.
The trip was made possible through the leadership of Mr. Areil Ora, sponsor of the Grants
High School MESA program, who continues to provide meaningful learning opportunities
beyond the classroom.
