Cubero Elementary recently hosted a unique and memorable event in the Kindergarten
classrooms: a special wedding ceremony for the letters “Q” and “U.” The creative lesson, led
by Ms. Felisha Vallejos, Ms. Alisha Vallejos, and Ms. Talahaftewa, gave students a fun and
interactive way to learn how these two letters are almost always paired together in words.
The students were thrilled to participate in the celebration, which reinforced their
understanding of the essential connection between “Q” and “U.” The activity turned
learning into an exciting experience, helping young readers remember that when you see a
“Q,” a “U” usually follows!
Ms. Vallejos encouraged students to think of as many words as they could that start with “Q,”
sparking laughter, curiosity, and a love for language in the classroom.
A big thank you to Ms. Vallejos for creating such a creative and memorable learning
experience for her students!
