Grants took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Miyamura Patriots 7-6. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 13-0 victory the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2025.
The team relied heavily on Annora Graham, who fired off two home runs, two stolen bases, and three runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025. Natalie Chavez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Looking ahead, Grants will take on Gallup at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Port of the Pirates! Get out and show your support! Under the leadership of Head Coach, Victor Aldaz, this team is going to do big things this year!
