invite students, staff, and community members to participate in this life-saving event.

Earlier today, a brief shelter-in-place was called at Mesa View Elementary School to assist administration in locating a student who was not in their assigned location. The shelter-in-place was lifted after approximately five minutes once the student was located. Parents/guardians were notified immediately.
Thank you for your patience and support. The safety and well-being of all students is always the top priority of school administration.

THE GRANTS CIBOLA COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD WILL HOLD A REGULAR BOARD MEETING ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 22 , 2026 AT 5:30 P.M. IN THE GCCS EARL CHAVEZ BOARDROOM.
Mount Taylor Elementary School will not have school on Monday, January 12, 2026, due to a water leak affecting several classrooms.
Parents and guardians of students who arrived on the morning bus will be contacted for early pick-up.
We appreciate your understanding as we work to address this issue and ensure the safety of our students and staff.
Due to icy roads in many parts of Cibola County and our surrounding communities, Grants Cibola County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Friday, January 9, 2026.
